ESF Introduces Shell Oil to Its Competency-Based Training Process

In 1979, ESF began offering its series of ProTrainer Workshops and Materials to Shell Oil Company.

Shell also asked ESF to develop customized training programs for its Service Station Financial Managers and AutoCare Centers.

To that end, ESF completed the following projects:

In 1979, ESF designed, developed, and validated a series of self-paced, self-instructional training materials for use by owners/dealers of Shell Oil Company gas stations trained in The Shell Oil National Training Centers.

The modules covered every aspect of managing the Shell Oil gas station.

These modules included:

Helping Shell AutoCare Owners/Dealers Enhance Their Technical Skills

In 1978, ESF revised and validated two major Shell Oil Company AutoCare Training Programs designed for use in Shell's National Training Center. The target population for the programs was Shell Oil's Gas Station Owners and Dealers.

These programs were:

Shell's Staff Trainers Introduced to ESF's IDLS-ProTrainer 1 Process

ESF conducted an on-site training program for staff trainers from the various Shell Oil Co. chemical plants to introduce them to ESF's competency-based IDLS-ProTrainer 1 Process.

Shell trainers used the process to develop instructional materials for employees who worked at a variety of jobs at Shell chemical plants throughout the US and Canada.

Refining IDLS-ProTrainer 1 Process for Shell's Refinery Developers

ESF provided training to the various divisions of Shell Oil Company to help Shell's training developers and instructors to apply ESF's IDLS-ProTrainer 1 training design, development, and validation model to their own unique problems.
