Working with Challenging Learners (CL) is a self-instructional program that is another step in ESF's process of becoming a professional trainer, hence the name "ProTrainer" which is ESF's Total Training Process (ESF's ISD Model). Challenging Learners is a competency-based program that enables the participant to use ESF?s advanced interactive instructional techniques (also known as "platform skills").

Interactive instructors, like all teachers, frequently discover difficult and challenging students in their classes. Instructors often ask:

• "What if students are disruptive?"
• "What about students who always arrive late?"
• "What if the same person is always first to answer my questions?"
• "What if my class gets out of control?"
• "What if I?m making a presentation and two students start to talk to each other?"
• "What do I do when I ask a question and nobody answers?"
